SUMMARY:Workshop:  Cathedral Windows with Shelley Swanland
DESCRIPTION:For twenty years\, Shelley has been creating Cathedral Window Quilts entirely by machine.  In this workshop you will learn to make a Cathedral Window quilt completely by machine using three-dimensional piecing.  First you will learn the basic elements: squares\, triangles\, and an X and O block.  Then we will put it all together in the Cathedral Window section.  Quilting it will be thoroughly explained. \nYou will also need to purchase a pattern for this class for $5.00 at the time of registration.  You may provide your own fabric\, or fabric kits will be available the day of the workshop from Shelley for an additional $15.00\,  A materials list and more cutting information will be provided upon registration. \n\n  \n

DESCRIPTION:How would you like three days of uninterrupted\, non-stop sewing without the hassle and expense of driving or flying to a distant city? Or having to clean your project off the dining room table each night at home? \nNot only that\, but you’ll have the comfort of sleeping in your own bed each night! And the camaraderie of friends and fellow quilters to inspire and motivate you to make progress on your projects. \nWell\, here’s your opportunity! This is the first of three Local Retreats for 2024 at Quilty Pleasures in Simi Valley. You’ll be able to sew from sun up to sun down (a little exaggeration\, but all morning\, afternoon\, and night)\, and there’s plenty of restaurants and food options within walking distance in the Town Center ~ or you can bring your own food. \n$50 for three days of sewing Friday\, April 19 through Sunday\, April 21\, 2024.
